Gortin Outdoor Activity Centre has been developed in harmony with its unique and spectacular setting in the rugged Sperrin Mountains. Nature is wild and rugged here. The people are warm and friendly. And the giant spirit of Northern Ireland is waiting here for you.

We are a grassroots social enterprise and community hub that welcomes everyone and wants to share our passion and enthusiasm for this wonderful corner of the island.

Situated in Gortin village – a charming, picturesque spot on the route of the famous ancient International Appalachian walking trail. The Sperrins themselves are a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), steeped in geological complexity, rich in historic and archaeological heritage.

Within three miles of our centre you’ll find the stunning Gortin Lakes, Gortin Glen Forest Park, Boorin Nature Reserve (ASSI) and Mullaghcarn Mountain Trail – which offers offer amazing walks, breathtaking panoramic 360 degree views and a deep connection with nature.

You are also ideally located to explore further afield, with many other amazing attractions such as the beaches of Donegal and the Fermanagh Lakelands are all within easy travelling distance.
